Savage Gear DC Slide Gill 6.5cm 17g Floating

Short overview

The Savage Gear DC Slide Gill 6,5 cm 17 g Floating is a topwater lure for predator fishing in shallow and weedy areas. Thanks to its hollow-belly body and dual-chamber construction, it reduces water ingress while delivering reliable performance and very easy walk-the-dog action. It is an excellent choice for anglers looking for an effective topwater presentation above grass, lily pads, and other obstacles.

Description

The DC Slide Gill was developed for situations where classic lures struggle to pass through dense vegetation and shallow spots. Its compact 6,5 cm body and 17 g weight allow precise casting and stable retrieves right on the surface, while the baitfish profile further provokes strikes from pike and other active predators.

The lure is easily worked with short rod-tip twitches, producing attractive walk-the-dog action and a natural surface glide. A robust wide-gap frog hook with an upward-pointing hook point helps it move through overgrown areas and increases hook-up reliability.
