Okuma Helios SX HSX-40FD 8+1BB

Quick overview

The Okuma Helios SX HSX-40FD is a lightweight and durable spinning reel designed for anglers who seek precision, reliable performance, and low weight for all-day lure fishing. The C-40X carbon construction, 8+1 bearings, and 6 kg drag make it an excellent choice for freshwater and inshore fishing with proper maintenance.

Description

This model from the Helios SX series was developed for anglers who want a lightweight reel without compromising strength and stability. Thanks to the C-40X body, side plate, and rotor, the reel maintains a low weight of just 261 g, while the TCA construction helps reduce body twist under load. The precision gearing, machine-cut brass pinion, and balanced rotor contribute to smooth performance during lure presentation, casting, and fighting fish. It is ideal for spinning, with an emphasis on line control and comfort during longer fishing sessions.
