Korda Wide Gape X

Quick Overview

Korda Wide Gape X is a reinforced carp hook developed for the toughest fishing conditions, including waters full of snags, rocks, and submerged branches. It is intended for anglers seeking maximum strength, secure hook holds, and reliable fish retention when targeting big carp.

Description

This version of the legendary Wide Gape model is made from thicker wire than the standard version, using X gauge Japanese steel, giving it extra resistance in demanding situations. The short shank, wide gape, in-turned eye, and curved beaked point make it an excellent choice for modern carp rigs with bottom bait and pop-up presentations. Wide Gape X especially stands out in carp fishing on snaggy venues, where hook strength and stability during the fight are crucial.
