Short Overview

The Prorex Daiwa 22 Prorex V is a lightweight and powerful LT concept spinning reel, designed for anglers seeking smooth operation, precise line lay, and reliable power transfer. It is an excellent choice for spinning with thin monofilament and braided lines in freshwater, while selected variants can also be used for other light to medium-heavy fishing approaches with proper maintenance.

Description

The Daiwa 22 Prorex V was developed for modern spinning, where low reel weight, sensitive operation, and efficient line management are essential. The ZAION V body and rotor contribute to rigidity and reduced weight, while Tough Digigear, Cross Wrap, and the ABS aluminum spool ensure even line winding, better casting, and stable performance under load. The reel is suitable for lure fishing for predatory species, from ultralight and light spinning to a versatile all-round approach, depending on the selected size.

Features

  • LT (Light & Tough) construction for low weight and high strength
  • ZAION V body and rotor for rigidity, balance, and lower inertia
  • 6 ball bearings for smooth and stable rotation
  • Forged aluminum spool with ABS lip for better casting
  • Cross Wrap line winding system for neat line lay
  • Air Bail bail arm for secure line control
  • Twist Buster II line roller for reduced line twist
  • Machined aluminum screw-in handle for a solid connection and better feel in use
  • Infinite Anti-Reverse for instant anti-reverse without back play

Technology

  • ZAION V Air Rotor
  • Tough Digigear
  • ATD drag system
