Shimano Aero Pro Landing Net Fine Pan

Shimano Aero Pro Landing Net Fine Pan – fine-mesh landing net head

The Shimano Aero Pro Landing Net Fine Pan is a landing net head for larger silverfish and smaller F1 carp. If you fish with hair rigs or smaller hooks, the fine mesh on the base reduces snagging, making it easier to free your tackle after landing a fish.

The lightweight aluminium frame retains its shape under load, while the larger mesh on the sides makes the net easier to move through the water. Available in 40 and 46 cm sizes, it lets you choose according to the size of fish you expect to catch.

Key benefits and technologies

• Extruded, anodised aluminium frame: combines low weight with strength and retains its shape in demanding landing conditions.
• Two mesh sizes: the 3 mm mesh base reduces snagging of hooks and hair rigs, while the 5 mm mesh sides allow faster movement through the water.
• Soft mesh: gentler on fish when landing and lifting them from the water.
• Two-screw frame connection: provides secure attachment, while the metal thread allows connection to a compatible landing net handle.
• Extra stitching at stress points: reduces mesh wear in areas subjected to the greatest strain during use.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What sizes are available?

A: The available sizes are 40 cm (16 in) and 46 cm (18 in). Both are designed for landing larger silverfish and smaller F1 carp.

Q: Does the mesh help when using hair rigs?

A: Yes. The fine 3 mm mesh on the base reduces snagging of hooks and hair rigs, but cannot eliminate it completely.

Q: What type of handle can this landing net head be attached to?

A: The head has a standard 3/8 in metal thread, approximately 9.53 mm. Choose a landing net handle with a compatible threaded fitting.

Q: Why is the side mesh larger than the base mesh?

A: The 5 mm side mesh allows easier, faster movement through the water. At the same time, the finer 3 mm base reduces snagging of small tackle.
