Shimano Cardiff Search Swimmer 2.5g

Short overview

The Shimano Cardiff Search Swimmer 2,5 g is a spoon lure for Trout Area and ultralight spinning, designed for natural presentation and stable action at slow to medium retrieve speeds. Its hybrid profile between a slim and roll spoon makes it highly versatile, especially when trout are cautious, lethargic, or responding poorly to more aggressive lures.

Description

This model fills the gap between a more pronounced rolling action and a narrower, more linear movement, enabling effective presentation in various situations on lakes, commercial waters, and smaller streams. The Cardiff Search Swimmer is primarily intended for trout fishing, but it can also be interesting for perch and chub. The compact weight of 2,5 g and length of 27 mm allow for precise casts, fine lure control, and neat performance on a steady retrieve, stop&go technique, and light twitches. It is equipped with a single barbless hook, making it suitable for modern Trout Area approaches.
