Quick Overview

The Daiwa 23 BG SW is a robust saltwater spinning reel designed for anglers seeking power, durability, and reliable performance under load. Thanks to its full metal aluminium body, powerful gearing, and quality drag system, it is an excellent choice for shore jigging, spinning, and other demanding saltwater fishing techniques.

Description

The 23 BG SW model was developed for operation in harsh conditions, where resistance to load, gear stability, and control during the fight are of crucial importance. Daiwa combines a rigid aluminium body, Tough Digigear drive system, Air Rotor construction, and an LC-ABS spool so the reel delivers smooth rotation, good line lay, and long, accurate casts. Depending on the size and gear ratio, it is suitable for light and medium-heavy spinning, jigging from shore or boat, and targeting powerful saltwater predators.

Features

Full metal aluminium body for high strength and long service life
Screw-in handle for a solid connection without unnecessary play
Round EVA knob provides a secure grip even when wet
LC-ABS spool allows smoother line release and greater casting distance
Lower spool capacity indicator line on sizes 4000 to 6000
Manual Return system on sizes 8000 to 18000
Suitable for demanding saltwater fishing

Technology

Tough Digigear – powerful and durable drive system for smooth operation under load
Air Rotor – optimised rotor construction for better balance and feel
ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) – progressive and consistent drag performance during the fight
LC-ABS – spool designed for better line release and longer casts
