New and improved for 2016, Drennan Loaded Giant Crystals are similar to Loaded Insert Crystals but have an increased body diameter and perfectly proportioned insert. The 5.75mm body is matched with an interchangeable 3.2mm insert for extra sensitivity and bite detection. The tips are further enhanced with our latest ultra-bright Glow Tip paint finish that maximizes visibility in all light conditions. The green-tinted transparent Crystal® body ensures the float is more discreet in clear water. These floats also feature a removable base weight that can be conveniently exchanged between floats if required. These floats are designed to be attached via the base eye or with a Float Attachment. Being loaded allows you to use rubber float stops or much smaller locking shots to fix the float in position. Seven sizes from 1g right up to 4g enable these floats to cover close-range and distance work on both rivers and stillwaters. The Carp 2 is a relatively long design with a diamond-shaped body and hollow bristle. These properties make it extremely stable and great for coping with surface tow.
The sensible 1.7mm tip diameter is also buoyant enough to allow you to drag some line on the bottom if required. It is also a great choice for presenting bigger hook baits such as worms, paste, meat and larger pellets As with the Carp 1, it features the same rugged paint finish, a robust carbon stem and our unique black stainless steel spring eyes. An additional feature is the Carp 2's relatively long 'banded tip'. This can really help to aid bite detection, especially with lift bites when the float is shot to the central black band. You have a choice of red-black-yellow or yellow-black-yellow banded tips; depending on the color your eyes handle best. The AS9's are available in seven sizes from 0.2g all the way up to 1g. They feature a 2mm hollow plastic tip and our new nickel titanium stems in 0.7mm.
This pattern is a step up from the highly successful AS4 and has been designed to be incredibly strong and durable for putting together huge weights of big carp.
