Korda LongChuck Tapered Mainline

Short Overview

Korda LongChuck Tapered Mainline is a tapered monofilament nylon line developed for extremely long and precise casts. It is ideal for carp fishing when you want to avoid a leader knot, reduce casting resistance, and maintain high reliability during the fight.

Description

This main line is designed for long-range fishing, especially on waters where knots and additional connections can cause problems when passing through the rod guides or collect weed and debris. Thanks to the integrated taper at both ends of the spool, LongChuck Tapered Mainline enables safe power transfer during powerful casts without the need for a separate shock leader. It is suitable for long-range carp fishing, fishing on open waters, and situations where aerodynamics, low resistance, and casting control are key.

Features

• Tapered main line for long-distance casting without a knot or additional connections.
• 300 m reversible spool for longer service life.
• At each end, an 8 m section with a diameter of 0,47 mm and a breaking strain of 30 lb (13,61 kg).
• Additional 2 m tapered transition section for a smooth diameter transition.
• Very low stretch for better energy transfer during casting.
• Very low water absorption for stable performance.
• High strength-to-diameter ratio.
• Good abrasion resistance in more demanding conditions.
• Integrated leader at both ends of the spool.
• Clear monofilament construction for lower mass compared to coloured lines.

Technology

• Ultra-low stretch mono – monofilament with very low stretch for better rod compression and greater casting distance.
• Clear formulation – a clear formulation that reduces mass compared to coloured lines and contributes to better aerodynamics.

Advantages

• Enables long-distance casting without the need for a separate shock leader.
• Reduces the chance of weed and debris snagging on knots.
• Provides security during powerful casting thanks to the thicker end section.
• The reversible construction allows the line to be turned around after cutting off a damaged section.
• An excellent choice for anglers looking for a combination of distance, control, and reliability.

Note

Variant availability may vary depending on stock levels. It is recommended to regularly check the first few metres of line after fishing in weed, mussels, or other abrasive conditions.
