Size 11 Flexi-Ring Swivel A smaller version of our size-eight Ring Swivel, which is perfect for making hinged stiff rigs. I can also be used on helicopter rigs to great effect. Like all of our metalware, they're finished in a low-vis, anti-glint coating.

Kamo Rig Tube Not only does rig tubing stop the hook link from wrapping around the main line on the cast preventing a tangle, it also stops the fish coming in contact with the line during the fight. This is a vital safety aspect of the rig which we feel should not be ignored. Danny has actually seen a carp roll on the line as it was being played and watched as scales fluttered down to the lake bed. When the carp was landed it had several white marks where the scales used to be. This was from a method feeder where no tubing was required because the hook link was squashed inside the method ball so it couldn't tangle. But, for the sake of having some tubing on, which if you use it right doesn't have to spook the carp, you will ensure the fish stay as perfect as the moment they made the mistake of wanting your hook bait! Our tubing has a matte finish, which makes it harder to see underwater and most importantly, easy to thread. It comes in three colors, all of which sink without the need for putty. Having said that, we have seen from the underwater footage that the better the rig is pinned to the lake bed the less scared the carp will be. It is also better to get the color of the tube exactly right for the spot you are fishing and then weight it with extra putty. Our underwater experience tells us our colors are right and extra putty can only enhance the whole set up but is not as essential as getting the color right. TUBING TIPS - Danny Fairbrass Always cut the line to a point and straighten it out first before trying to thread it down the tube. Curly line with a flattened end is almost impossible to thread! Our tube comes in large packets so the coils are kept as big as possible. It is also very supple so it straightens straight out of the packet. In winter, it may be necessary to warm it through your fingers to straighten it out before threading. If you take tubing off and you intend to reuse it then slide it up and down a tight line to get the silt and sediment out of the middle. With dried sediment inside the tube it'll be hard to thread a second time. You can leave a line inside it and use it to pull a new bit through next time by simply tying an overhand knot around the new line and carefully pulling through. If you are pushing the tube into the top of a rubber, then cut it to a point before threading. The pointed tube pushes much easier into the rubber. Never glue the joint as it makes it brittle, which will then snap after repeated use. When your tube has finally come to the end of its life, cut it up into inch lengths, put it in your tackle box and use it for hair stops, that's what I do.

Safe Zone Rubbers A soft tapered component that neatly fits onto any cord lead clip to keep the lead secure during casting, but is soft enough to allow the lead to eject should the fish become snagged. The tail rubber also fits to the top of any cord inline lead making a seamless join between the rig tube and the lead to prevent tangles.

Quick Release Lead Clips These new lead clips have been designed to smoothly eject the lead in snaggy or weedy conditions. The lead-retaining arm is smoothly configured to allow for seamless ejection and the body features specially engineered grooves that prevent the tail rubber from adhering to the tail of the clip, ensuring a smooth lead drop when you need it most. The clips are of robust construction, so they'll deal with the most brutal casting with big leads and they're available in weed/silt and gravel/clay colors.

Size 8 Swivel The humble swivel completes the whole rig set up and since it is almost the last connection between you and the carp it needs to be reliable. We always bought swivels from the same source, until our suppliers' supplier merged with a new company. The stocks were mixed and some were not as good quality, so we immediately set about sourcing an alternative. They say that from every adversity comes an equal or greater benefit and in this case the swivels we located came from Japan - arguably the best swivel manufacturers in the world. They matched the size of the originals exactly, improved the breaking strain and reliability, and made them in a lovely dull gray tint. This was an improvement that entailed only a marginal increase in price - 10 percent over 10 years! The swivels have round eyes because they are stronger than diamond eyes, if this were not the case then hooks would be made with diamond eyes! They fit just about everything that we make including - the Inline Leads, Lead Clips, Running Rigs, Shok Beads and Rubbers, what more can we say!

4mm Rubber Bead These were designed for use with the Safe Zone flying back leads. The hole inside the bead is tapered so if it is fished with the larger hole facing towards the rod then it will pass more easily over a leader knot. The small hole will then rest against the top of the anti-tangle system stopping the large bore of the back leads from sliding down the anti-tangle system which would stop the flying back lead 'flying' back on the cast. Purely coincidentally, they are perfect for use on the Safe Zone leaders should you wish to fish them chod style and anchor the hook link on one of the two tungsten collars designed to hold the leader down on the lakebed. They are also ideal for the shokka rig, which incorporates a running inline lead with a back stop set a few inches behind it on one of the leaders or on a length of rig tube.
