NOTE: The BASIX Weigh Sling MUST NOT be used as a retainer. A strong webbing strap is attached to the bars on each side and gives good balance once they are attached to the hook on your scales, allowing the fish to be weighed safely. It features plenty of large drainage holes along the bottom, so once the fish is transferred into it in the margins, in your rolled up landing net, the water will quickly drain out when you lift it out and carry it to your unhooking mat. A good quality, free-running zip at each end of the sling ensures that the fish can't slide out during transit or weighing, and is easy to do up or undo.
