With the resurgence of silver fish fishing, we have decided that it is time to produce four new groundbaits specifically for silvers. We have developed these groundbaits in conjunction with some of the best silver fish anglers in the UK including Des Shipp, Tommy Pickering, Lee Kerry, Steve Saunders, Adam Wakelin, Mick Vials, Michael Buchwalder, Scott Geens & Will Freeman. Code Red is a new concept in boilies, lead by the demand for baits that work straight away we have developed a fresh bait which stays fresh meaning that it its attractants begin to release as soon as they are in the water and the ingredients in the boilie mean that it creates food signals until it is eaten or breaks down. Lead by Ian Russell and Chris Lowe and their extremely high expectations, we started working on a boilie which took three years of development and field testing. Their demands were a bait which could be taken to any water in the country and catch carp straight away, but also if they were to concentrate on a water then the boilie had to be a long term food bait which the carp would then treat as a high quality food source. The baits needed to be convenient as both anglers would spend a lot of time on the bank and could not have the hassles associated with keeping frozen bait. So the answer to this was to design a boilie from scratch, taking all the best features from a freezer bait and shelf life bait and combining the two to create a modified bait which would have the best quality ingredients to make the boilie but without the need to freeze or air dry to prevent it from turning mouldy. The high levels of liquid food attractants in Code Red boilies means they have the same texture as freezer baits and therefore the attractants and food signals start releasing straight away when the baits are in the water. The level of highly digestible ingredients including pre-digested fishmeal and liquid liver means the carp will recognize Code Red as a valuable food source and keep coming back for more. Critically with the inclusion of precise levels of natural preservatives such as salt, sugar and oil along with modern tasteless and odorless preservatives used in the food industry we were able to create a bait which stays fresh, therefore no more freezers, air drying, rehydrating and throwing away moldy boilies. The results have been astounding with big fish being caught from all the lakes they are being used on and also quantity of fish, it is not unusual for Ian Russell or Chris Lowe to catch 10 or more good carp in an overnight session and as the field testing has been going on they are catching more and more meaning that carp actively seek out Code Red.

These floaters have been made with increased levels of water soluble ingredients, this means that when they are in the water they ooze off their smell, color and flavor into the water and surrounding area enticing the carp to feed. You can actually see the Oozing Floaters pumping their ingredients out into the water. Maggot Fishmeal: At Sonubaits we know the difficulty many anglers face when choosing their groundbait. Consulting with our team of anglers, we have created a mix that really is a true all-rounder. The key ingredient is our crushed maggots! Maggots really are an all-round bait and they have been responsible for catching millions of fish over the course of time. Integrating them into ground bait was never going to be easy, but we have taken fresh maggots, then dried and crushed them to form the key ingredient in this mix. Ground maggots add a significant protein content and smell to the ground bait, a natural fish attractor, catches on this ground bait have already exceeded expectations. To complement the ground bait, we have combined well-balanced combinations of various crushed pellets, fishmeals, breads and hemp, to give a natural brown color. A winner for just about every fish, and a particular favorite for Bream and Carp, Maggot fishmeal, this ground bait should be your turn to choose next time you can't quite decide on that all-round mix!

Being pre-drilled there is no preparation needed, they are ready to be used with a Quickstop or Hair Rigged. When hair rigging the ideal bait stop is a Pellet Stop, these make sure that the Pellet O's cannot slide off the hair. Each pack contains enough hookbaits for a good number of sessions and also contains two Korum Quickstops on hook hairs and a Quickstop needle making it the complete hookbait pack.

Hemp & Hali Crush is made using 95% Hemp and Halibut pellets crushed together. We have kept large particles of bait in the mix to provide a high food content for the fish and with the smaller particles creating the feeding zone and the larger particles to keep the fish grubbing around for the food content the fish stay in the feeding area for longer. This is such a versatile mix that it can be used as a method mix, stick mix, feeder mix, spodded or just balled in to create a bed of particles. My favorite way of using it is to mix it very wet and mold it round a lead when fishing on the River Severn for Barbel, it would be fair to say that the majority of my fish come to this tactic.
