The Compact Acolyte Plus 13ft is light, slim and powerful. A patented design allows it to neatly fold away into two plus a short handle section for ease of transport. This clever design enables the rod to be stored made-up while still being a manageable length for transportation. It also comes with its own padded Acolyte Compact Rod Sleeve with retaining bands and rod socks to help protect the rod in transit. The Compact Acolyte Plus 13ft has an almost identical action to the standard three-piece Acolyte Plus 13ft. The unique way it is constructed actually means it is fractionally better balanced. The Drennan Red Range Carp Feeder rods are designed for commercial carp fisheries where the next fish could be a small roach or a double-figure carp. The 10ft (3.05m) model has a dark, burgundy red finish with a cork and duplon handle, screw-down reel seat and a neat keeper ring, offering superb value for money. These versatile carbon blanks are lightweight and well balanced with a beautiful fish playing action that is rigid enough to provide pinpoint, accurate casting, but forgiving enough to be a perfect shock absorber and avoid hook pulls. As the power of the rod comes into play progressively, playing even small carp and silverfish is an enjoyable experience, yet the rod is still capable of landing larger hard-fighting carp with ease. This version is rated for reel lines from 4lb to 7lb (normally 0.18mm to 0.23mm) and is supplied with tips of 1.5oz and 2oz test curve. It will cast small to medium sized feeders up to 30 meters both easily and accurately and the shorter length is perfect for smaller swims where room to cast and play fish is restricted. All Drennan feeder tips fit the Red Range feeder rods.

The special Margin Kits supplied measure 2.33m and are designed to be shorter than the 2.89m kits supplied with the Acolyte and Acolyte Carp poles, as we believe it is the optimum length for more demanding, close-range work. Having a shorter length of elastic offers you much more control over a big fish, which can be really important when tackling snaggy swims. You can choose between standard and Ghost Tips. One of the Margin Kits also comes with a special Ghost Tip as part of the standard package. These tips have been specially treated with a light gray paint finish. This has been designed for ultra wary fish that could potentially be spooked by a carbon pole tip waving over their heads. As this special finish only adds approximately 2g of extra weight to the section, the balance and performance of the pole is not compromised. The standard package comes with a total of two Margin Kits and one Ghost Margin Kit but, as with all Drennan poles, you can tailor this to your own requirements. Each kit comes with our factory-fitted Side Pull Slots as standard and is also supplied with Roller Cones for unrivaled, super-smooth elastic performance.
