The Rapala Countdown CD01 is a small sinking balsa lure designed for precise coverage of shallower water layers. Thanks to its controlled sink rate and natural Rapala action, it is an excellent choice for ultralight spinning for trout, chub, perch, and other smaller predators.

Description

The CD01 model was developed for anglers who want to precisely control the running depth of the lure. A sink rate of 1 ft per second (0,3 m/s) allows easy counting down to the desired zone, which is especially useful when fishing along the bank, above weed, near submerged obstacles, and in smaller rivers, streams, and lakes. The weighted balsa body delivers a slow, enticing rolling action on the retrieve and remains stable even at slower retrieve speeds.
