FOX Edges Super Wide Gape (Out-Turned Eye)

This is the out turned eye version of The Super Wide Gape which makes it perfect for Chod, Hinged and Flurocarbon D-rigs. This hook was born out of many long discussions with our consultants and other highly experienced anglers. The idea that keeping the gap as wide as possible when constructing a rig will result in more hooked carp is highly favored among many anglers. As such we set about designing a hook with a gape increased even further than our hugely popular Wide Gape and Stiff Rig hooks. Enter the "Super Wide Gape", a hook with a long wide sweeping bend, super sharp beaked point and a gape wider than any hook we have used previously. In tests it has proven that even on the simplest of rigs, this hook is an unbelievable fish catcher. With such a wide gape once the fish has sucked the rig in, upon ejection there is so much hook point exposed that the chances of it catching hold are vastly increased, allowing you to worry less about rig mechanics and more about getting the rig on the right spot.

The Wide Gape Long Shank has been developed with the intention of creating the ultimate modern carp hook, combining key elements from the greatest fish catching patterns, for use on the most popular rigs around today. We started with a long shank hook, renowned for its hooking properties, we added to that a slight, but sweeping curve, this ensures the hook will turn in an instant once inside the carps mouth, putting it in the prefect hooking position. A wide gape was also required, to give the point as much chance of catching hold as possible. Finally, a beaked point to ensure that once hooked the hook remains in place and the chances of it pulling are reduced. Never have all these elements been combined in a carp hook and the result is deadly! These hooks are perfectly suited to Ronnie/Spinner rig presentations alongside all manner of different bottom bait and popup rigs.
