The Margin Crystal is the latest innovation created with Drennan's unique precision blow-moulding technology. This float is built to the same exacting specifications as the award-winning Crystal Dibber and In-Line Crystal Dibber pole floats. The inclusion of a 2.5mm diameter hollow Glow Tip makes it a really versatile design. It works exceptionally well for fishing in the margins and towards the far bank islands. The highly visible antenna means it is just as useful for open water and can even be used for shallow fishing The transparent Crystal® body ensures that the float is much less conspicuous to wary fish compared to a traditionally painted pole float. As with all Crystal® pole floats it is engineered in Drennan's own factories, super strong and built to last. A thick 1mm glass stem offers both strength and stability. A double-wound, spring side eye protects the line and cannot be ripped out of the body like a traditional side eye. These Coolbags are part of a new range of Drennan luggage that exudes quality! The Drennan Umbrella is available in 50in (125cm) size. This sturdy umbrella has an extra long, adjustable spike made from thick-gauge aluminum. Importantly, it is the standard 19mm external diameter of most fishing umbrella poles, but with a greater internal wall thickness for extra rigidity and durability. Both models have the same length adjustable pole, which is height extendable to approximately 2.3m. This ensures that it can be pushed deep into the ground yet still allow plenty of height for you to sit under. We have spent considerable time perfecting the three-position tilt mechanism so that the umbrella can be securely locked at different angles. The umbrella outer is made from durable, PU coated, rot-proof, polyester with taped seams to keep out the elements. The 44in model also features slightly lighter fabric to keep the overall weight down for anglers who prefer to travel light. At just 2.35kg this model is approximately 16% lighter than the 50in (2.8kg) design. The fiberglass ribs are part of a clever shallow spoke canopy that has been designed to provide maximum head clearance. Securing rings allow you to peg one or more of the panels flush to the ground. There are also four ribs with a removable 'stabiliser' attachment. This has a standard 3/8in BSF thread that will accommodate a bankstick or storm pole for an even sturdier setup. The Drennan 30L 4 Part Bait System is a really practical set consisting of a main zip-up carryall and three internal containers of varying sizes. Each item is made from robust and waterproof EVA material which is semi-rigid and easy to clean. The main bag has a generous 30-liter capacity and carrying handles. It also has a large zip-up lid with a really handy Velcro strip that allows you to peel it back. This then comfortably houses three internal EVA containers, plus room for several other bowls or items of tackle and bait. The three bowls include a large 12-liter capacity, full-width bowl measuring 46 x 30 x 22cm. The 14ft Acolyte Ultra boasts an exceptionally slim, high modulus carbon blank. This model is just 5.25oz and actually better balanced than most 13ft models! Paired with a compact float fish reel, the rods tend to sit up in the hand at an angle above horizontal, making them a joy to fish with all day. They have been designed mainly for reel lines from 2lb 8oz to 4lb+, which is roughly 0.12mm to 0.18mm diameter monofilament. The blank feels very rigid and has a light, crisp action with little or no bounce for really excellent line and float control. At the same time, the tip action is soft enough to act as a gentle shock absorber, cushioning the strike and preventing hook pulls. This allows ultra-light hooklengths below 1lb (0.08mm) to be fished with confidence.
