Premiership Long Distance is the feeder rod made from “High Resistance” high modulus carbon. It comes in 3.60m and 3.90m lengths with “medium-heavy” action and 4.20m length with “heavy” action. It combines good power and stiffness in the butt section, ideal for casting fully loaded feeders, with extreme sensitivity for lighter bites. A fibreglass tip can be fitted to further enhance bite detection while making the rod action softer. The rod is supplied with a choice of three tips providing three different actions and features double-leg SIC II guides, a screw reel seat and a natural cork and neoprene handle with hook retainer. At each rods core is the bias carbon technology of X45 within compression zones. This aids both accuracy and power, plus delivers quick blank recovery. Five float models cover mixed waggler methods especially the PF models where Dave has shown the way with ‘power waggler’ methods. Round the choice of is ‘big’ 15’ stick version for added line control. In feeder terms all rods feature glass QT’s. Stillwaters and river are equally catered for across the five choices, with the 12/13 models likely to be highly popular. All models feature a shaped EVA and Armlock Cork handle. This is the little brother to Drennan’s best-selling Ultralight Bomb & Feeder 10ft/11ft model. Two top sections are supplied, each with a permanently spliced carbon quivertip. These are 3/4oz and 1oz test curves for optimum sensitivity and bite detection.
