1 – Uhvatite alat s lijevom rukom. Stavite udicu u njenu stezaljku prema sl. 1, pritezanjem blokirajuće matice palcem i kažiprstom. Pretjerano pritezanje nije potrebno.
2 – Orijentirajte je prema sl. 2, tako da je jumper u gornjem položaju. Provucite strunu oko stražnje strane i sprovedite ga oko prednjeg dijela. Držite strunu približno pod kutom koji je prikazan na sl. 2.
3 – Okrenite je u ruci prema sl. 3 (obično: 5 okreta). Tijekom namatanja držite strunu napetom.
4 – Držeći strunu napetom, provucite je kroz otvoreni prednji dio ridera. Prema sl. 4.
5 – Gurnite jumper pritiskom na prednji dio s lijevim palcem. Držeći ovu poziciju, povucite strunu koja izlazi iz špule.
6 – Otpustite maticu i ponovo povucite vlakno iz špule kako bi oslobodili sklop. Odrežite višak strune.
