The fine fishmeal particles create an inactive mix when dampened which is perfect for a rapid breakdown of feed around the hook. It can also be balled, or cupped in as slop. Designed for river Barbel and Chub, this mix is based around crushed Hemp with the addition of Halibut Pellets and a very strong garlic powder. It has a coarse texture and binds well making it ideal for feeder fishing or balling in. The ground Hemp produces a very light oil which is released immediately, even in cold temperatures giving instant attraction and the heavier fish oils in Halibut pellets are released at a slower rate and keeps pumping out of the pellets as the water flows over them so drawing fish to the feeder for a prolonged period of time and the extra strong garlic powder is washed through the swim drawing in fish to the bait. The variation in size of particle means that fish pick up the trail as the smaller bits get moved downstream creating a trail to the bigger bits which stay round the feeder. Ade Kiddell (Specialist Angler) says "Cheesy Garlic Crush is the perfect groundbait for floodwater Barbel and Chub, because crushed Hemp is one of the main ingredients it is perfect when the river is running a little cooler due to fresh rain or through the winter where other more fishy groundbaits would not perform as well.
