This superbly powerful rod is capable of ultra long range casting with big feeders up to 3 ½ oz (100g). With the right technique, distances approaching 100m can be achieved with remarkable accuracy. Many other distance feeder models end up imbalanced and over-gunned, and in some cases look more like beach casters than feeder rods!  As a result, they lose tactile contact and feel when playing fish and result in more hook-pulls. Working with Five times World Champion Alan Scotthorne and top international match anglers Steve Hemingray, Darren Davies and Dean Barlow, we have extensively field tested and modified various Acolyte Distance Feeder prototypes in the UK and Ireland over a period of more than two years. The finished model successfully combines the normal feeder rod requirements of bite detection, sensitivity, fish playing feel and balance with ultra long range casting.  It also represents fantastic value for money compared to other models, some of which are more than twice the price! Martin Bowler points out this is more than just an ultra long range feeder rod, it is excellent for big fish, big feeders and its 13ft length provides improved line management in heavy flow.  Optimum mono reel lines are 6lb to 10lb (2.7kg to 4.5kg) or 0.08 to 0.12mm braid.  The rod is supplied with 3oz, 4oz and 5oz carbon tips, which are also available separately with 2.5oz and 6oz test curves.   

DRENNAN Red Range Method Feeder 11ft   This excellent 11ft (3.3m) method feeder rod is equipped with 3oz and 4oz glass quiver tips. These tips are ideal test curves, being stiff enough to register bites perfectly when fishing the method.  The lightweight carbon blank is beautifully balanced and has a progressive though action to help avoid hook pulls and to play and land big fish.  

The Drennan Red Range Carp Feeder rods are designed for commercial carp fisheries where the next fish could be a small roach or a double-figure carp.The 11ft (3.35m) model has a dark, burgundy red finish with a cork and duplon handle, screw-down reel seat and a neat keeper ring, offering superb value for money. These versatile carbon blanks are lightweight and well balanced with a beautiful fish playing action that is rigid enough to provide pinpoint, accurate casting, but forgiving enough to be a perfect shock absorber and avoid hook pulls. As the power of the rod comes into play progressively, playing even small carp and silverfish is an enjoyable experience, yet the rod is still capable of landing larger hard-fighting carp with ease. The 11ft model is a slightly heavier version with recommended reel lines of 5lb to 8lb (0.20mm to 0.25mm) and has slow taper glass quivertips of 2oz and 3oz.
