Paired with a compact float fish reel, the rods tends to sit up in the hand at an angle above horizontal, making them a joy to fish with all day.
They have been designed principally for reel lines from 2lb 8oz to 4lb+, which is roughly 0.12mm to 0.18mm diameter monofilament. The blank feels very rigid and has a light, crisp action with little or no bounce for really excellent line and float control. At the same time, the tip action is soft enough to act as a gentle shock absorber, cushioning the strike and preventing hook pulls. This allows ultra-light hooklengths below 1lb (0.08mm) to be fished with confidence.

This great-value rod comes with two push-in slow taper glass Feeder Tips of 1oz and 2oz for registering the shyest of bites. It can also be conveniently folded into two for ease of transportation.
The 9ft (2.74m) length makes it a great choice for tight swims. The short length also enables you to bring fish much closer to the bank without having to stretch so far to net them.
Short rods like this have become increasingly popular for accurately casting across to the far bank of narrow, canal-type ‘snake lakes’. These rods also excel when fishing a feeder just metres from the bank – but make sure you use this tactic in conjunction with a freespool reel or a slackened clutch, as the takes can be explosive!

The Drennan Band Puller is a great aid for baiting up with a multitude of hair-rigged hook baits.
The handy tool enables you to securely mount baits such as expander pellets, meat, sweetcorn and drilled boilies onto a hair-rigged latex band without ripping or damaging the band. To use, simply pierce a hook bait with the needle end of the Band Puller, then use the curved ‘crook’ to grab your hair-rigged latex band. Pull the band to stretch it, slide the hook bait onto the band and then remove the Band Puller. The band will then expand and effectively hold the hook bait in place. The Pellet Band Puller also has an ergonomic handle that makes it comfortable to grip. It also compliments our popular Pushstop Drill and Pushstop Pusher tools.

This sturdy umbrella has an extra long, adjustable spike made from thick-gauge aluminium. Importantly, it is the standard 19mm external diameter of most fishing umbrella poles but with a greater internal wall thickness for extra rigidity and durability.Both models have the same length adjustable pole, which is height extendable to approximately 2.3m. This ensures it can be pushed deep into the ground yet still allow plenty of height for you to sit under. We have spent considerable time perfecting the three-position tilt mechanism so that the umbrella can be securely locked at different angles.The umbrella outer is made from durable, PU coated, rot-proof, polyester with taped seams to keep out the elements. The 44in model also features slightly lighter fabric to keep the overall weight down for anglers who prefer to travel light. At just 2.35kg this model is approximately 16% lighter than the 50in (2.8kg) design. The fibreglass ribs are part of a clever shallow spoke canopy that has been designed to provide maximum head clearance. Securing rings allow you to peg one or more of the panels flush to the ground. There are also four ribs with a removable ‘stabiliser’ attachment. This has a standard 3/8in BSF thread that will accommodate a bankstick or storm pole for an even sturdier setup.
