The BG Black LT in the ARK version, is a robust and powerful reel, equipped with an Aluminum Round Knob to offer greater comfort and real assistance during the most demanding fights. Daiwa has created a real workhorse and packed it with features and technologies that make this reel series, a reliable partner in aggressive fishing.
The aluminum body is torsion-proof, while the drag system is the powerful Carbon ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag): unlike traditional clutches, the carbon discs maintain great mechanical efficiency even in the event of overheating caused by furious fights with large size fish.
Starting with the enormous Tough Digigear drive and the ARC-shaped Air Rotor, the Daiwa BG Black offers a smooth and accurate performance. Daiwa has also incorporated the latest-generation ATD Drag system, to put you in total control on the fight.
LT is not a new concept in Daiwa engineering, which has produced new sizes of reels that are smaller and tougher than ever. Daiwa engineers have sought to eliminate unnecessarily heavy components and shapes without compromising on the toughness or the capacity of the spool. This totally new compact design with a more powerful Digigear gives to the Daiwa LT reels an unrivalled weight to power ratio.
The reel also feature an all-aluminum body and the Digigear technology. Compared to most of the competition, the gears are between 20% to 40% larger. The gears also feature a larger tooth patter, giving the gears a much longer gear life and durability than competitive reels. Tests reveal a gear life that is one to three times the length of competitive reels.
